Overview

The HR Learning & Development Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, development, and delivery of employee training programs. This role manages both the logistical and administrative components of learning events, ensures accurate records within the LMS, provides responsive support to employees and facilitators, and supports content development for training initiatives. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

Training Coordination & Logistics

  • Manage all training logistics, including reserving rooms and setting up Teams/Zoom sessions.
  • Identify, schedule, and communicate with instructors and subject matter experts to support training delivery.
  • Maintain the centralized training calendar and adjust scheduling based on instructor availability or course changes.
  • Create and manage session invitations through the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Generate, download, and distribute session-specific QR codes to instructors to ensure attendees can easily scan and receive proper training credit for participation.
  • Announce and promote upcoming learning opportunities to employees through approved channels.

LMS Administration

  • Assign training credit to participants who attended live sessions but did not automatically receive credit.
  • Review and upload external certifications or professional development documentation into the LMS to award appropriate credit.
  • Troubleshoot routine LMS issues and questions from employees, escalating technical issues when needed.
  • Ensure training sessions, records, and instructor information are accurate and up to date within the LMS.

Employee Support

  • Respond to and resolve HR Learning & Development helpdesk tickets in a timely and customer‑focused manner.
  • Provide clear guidance to employees on training requirements, course access, and system navigation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related major. 
  • Willingness to undertake assignments involving unfamiliar subjects, with the aptitude to learn quickly. 
  • Experienced using Microsoft Office 365 applications. 
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Skilled in collecting, analyzing, organizing, and reporting information. 
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills. 
  • Strong team collaboration. 
  • Highly motivated to work independently and productively.  
  • Knowledge of basic Human Resources functions and prior use of a learning management system (LMS) is desirable. 

Preferred Experience

  • Prior HR, training coordination, or administrative support experience
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles
