Overview

Working together as part of a small team, you will track assets, make strategic decisions about them (including intangibles like software licensing), physically set up various hardware at different office locations (including desk and conference room AV equipment), manage procurement systems, and ensure proper documentation.

As you can see above, we’re not just looking for brains - we want brawn too! You’re the mythical unicorn - the tech-savvy, organized powerhouse this company craves. This role is a blend of tech wizardry, brute strength, and meticulous detail.

This is a Nonexempt, Non-managerial position that reports to the IT Operations Manager. It may be the most variable position in the entire company as one day will not be like the next!

Responsibilities

Technical Proficiency:

  • Tech Savvy: You’re the go-to person for all things tech. Whether it’s hardware (laptops, networking gear, the latest gadgets) or software (licenses, applications), you’ve got it covered.
  • Software Tools: You wield Asset Management software like a pro - tracking, managing, and reporting on assets with finesse.
  • Data Whisperer: You analyze asset data, spotting trends like a digital detective.
  • MS Office Guru: Microsoft Office apps? You practically invented them—Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook bow to your big brain.

In this aspect, your affinity for gadgets, toys, and tech wizardry makes you the asset management superhero of IT Operations!

Organizational Skills:

  • Inventory Mastery: You’re like a digital bloodhound, tirelessly and meticulously tracking assets. Purchase dates, warranties, and locations? You’ve got them all in your mental spreadsheet as well as recorded into a properly backed up & easy to use system.
  • Lifecycle Whisperer: Asset lifecycles? You know them better than the latest smartphone release cycles. Acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal… all your domain.
  • Vendor Juggler: When it comes to vendors, you orchestrate procurement, licensing, and support tasks with finesse.
  • Contractor Choreographer: Interacting with contractors? You keep projects on track, orchestrating their moves like a tech-savvy conductor.

Your demand for perfection comes through in your ability to make it all look smooth to those outside of the process.

Communication Skills:

  • Verbal Geek Speak: Conversations with IT, Accounting, and Management? You’re fluent in binary, translating tech jargon into human language… plus another 6 million forms of communication.
  • Documentation Wizard: Your written documentation is clearer than a 4K display. Processes, policies, and asset info? Documented with pixel-perfect precision.
  • User Training: Educating internal users? You wield the patience of a thousand software updates. They will learn process as strong apprentices under your guidance.

Your techy mindset with a yearning to educate turns ordinary asset management into a cosmic odyssey for perfection!

Business Acumen:

  • Cost Optimization Guru: Financial impact? You calculate it faster than an overclocked CPU. Cost savings? Your superpower – making you a legendary hero!
  • Risk Hacker: Risks related to security, compliance, and performance? You spot them like hidden Easter eggs in code.

Altogether, you’re the ultimate dollar cruncher—making dollars and sense (see what we did there?) while safeguarding the digital realm! Remember, you’re not just an Operations Technician; you’re the tech-infused superhero that everyone secretly wants to be!
