Overview

Experienced, hands-on OSI PI engineer needed for ensuring our customers’ success by developing real time data and historian based solutions. Work directly with business stakeholders, data consumers, and data producers to ensure solutions provide real business value to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers to design, configure, develop, test and deploy real time data solutions based on OSI PI (AVEVA), AspenTech, Canary, or similar technologies.
  • Installation and configuration of real time data technologies (Ex. PI Server, AF Server and other OSI PI Suite of products).
  • Install and configure interfaces to control system infrastructures.
  • Configure real time data applications, visualizations, and reports per design specifications.
  • Work in a team environment with RoviSys engineers, customers, manufacturing personnel, and 3rd-party vendors and contractors.
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-8 years of design and configuration experience with a real time data solution technology in OSI PI, AVEVA, AspenTech, Canary, or similar technologies.
  • Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with people.
  • Understanding and adherence to RoviSys and client safety/quality policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • Working knowledge of common control systems and interfacing to Historians and IT Applications.
  • Experience working with any of the following is a plus:
    • Creation/modification of PI tags
    • PI AF Element templates and AF Elements
    • PI based dashboards (PI Vision/Process Book)
    • PI AF Analytics, PI Notifications and PI Event Frames
    • PI Interfaces: OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI to PI
