Overview

We have an immediate need for a Lead Instrumentation Engineer in Aurora, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as Lead Engineer on project work for clients and is responsible for gathering and analyzing technical data used to furnish a design package of instruments to fulfill scope of work requirements that include, generating instrument lists, I/O lists, specifications, procurement submittals, operation & maintenance documents, training, and related design documents.
  • Actual hands-on experience with specifying, procuring, and calibrating instruments (i.e. flow, level, temperature, analytical, pressure, etc.).
  • Perform as lead instrumentation engineer interfacing with customers.
  • Maintain effective communication with project team members, other departments, suppliers, and clients.
  • Perform basic field commissioning and start-up of process control systems as they relate to instrumentation.
  • Direct and check the work of designers and engineers ensuring all standards are met.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in related engineering field (preferable electrical or mechanical engineering).
  • Three plus (3+) or more years experience with specifying, procuring, and calibrating instruments
  • Knowledge of all facets of process instrumentation
  • Experience with PLC programs and operator interface software
  • Experience with P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, wiring schematic diagrams, panel layout and detail drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with Autodesk CAD software
  • 5+ Years experience
  • PLC configuration knowledge is a plus
